The Pat and Stick Homemade Company was founded in 2004 by two good friends and fellow food lovers, Pat and Stick. Tired of the poor quality commercial ice cream available in Australia, they wanted to make an old-fashioned and all-natural ice cream that was rich and creamy, using only the best ingredients. But as the two boys were experimenting in their home kitchens, they had an idea – why not make a gourmet ice cream sandwich? Thus, Pat and Stick’s ‘world-famous’ ice cream sandwich was born.

Pat and Stick sampled their sandwiches in local food markets around Sydney and there was a resounding response – people loved them. So they quit their day jobs and started working at Pat and Stick’s full-time. The boys experimented with different sandwich flavours and combinations and some of their original creations are still Pat and Stick’s most popular sandwiches today.

What makes Pat and Stick’s different to any other ice cream treat is the quality of ingredients used and the old-fashioned way in which the ice cream and cookies are made. Pat and Stick are obsessed and passionate about making the best possible tasting products for their customers. That’s why they only use the finest ingredients like rich Belgian chocolate, real vanilla beans, espresso coffee, real butter, and fresh Australian milk and cream in the ice cream and cookies.

Pat and Stick’s now have a loyal following of people who love their sandwiches. They’re sold across Sydney in speciality food stores, delis, cafes, and gourmet supermarkets (full list of stockists are here). Over the coming months, Pat and Stick are planning on increasing their distribution across the east coast of Australia and are also branching out into ice cream tubs and cookies to complement their ice cream sandwiches.

As The Pat and Stick Homemade Company expands its product range, Pat and Stick are still at the helm, baking the cookies and making the ice cream by hand. Their passion for making the best-tasting, old-fashioned ice cream sandwiches is what makes Pat and Stick’s ‘world-famous’ in good old Sydney since 2004.
